A thank you from Jane Williams

Dear Editor

I would like to thank all the Leighton people who supported me at my afternoon tea fund raising event. On Saturday 13th August we held a cream tea event in my garden at Lymore in Montgomery (former resident of Tirdu, Leighton). Our event was to raise funds for breast cancer, we all know people who have suffered from this and it is a problem close to my heart as my 43 year old cousin died from it 2 years ago.

Sadly her sister is now battleing the illness, I have a number of clients in my salon in Montgomery who have survived, as it is my tenth year in business, I wanted to put something back into the community, therefore a loyal client Annie decided to join me to raise funds. Annie raised £1054 and we had our heads shaved to a grade 3, although apprehensive we felt it was easy for us, we had a choice, unlike all the brave people suffering from breast cancer. Our grand total amounted to £3,062.04 of which we are very pleased. Thankyou to all my old neighbours who supported us.

With Love  Jane Williams
